3 Golden Rules for Remote Support:
- Never grant access to an unsolicited caller. Real tech support (like us) will never call you out of the blue to tell you your computer is broken.
- Only use Quick Assist with people you know and trust. If you didn't initiate the contact through an official channel, hang up.
- Watch your screen. If you see someone opening your browser and heading to your bank or "checking" your passwords, kill the connection immediately (usually by clicking the 'X' on the Quick Assist bar).
