How to Use Quick Assist to Get Remote Help

For the Person Receiving Help:

1. Open Quick Assist:

• Press the Windows key, type Quick Assist, and select it from the search results.

2. Share the Security Code:

• Click Get assistance under “Get help from another person.”

• You will see a prompt asking for a security code. Provide the code to the person helping you (they will generate this code).

3. Grant Permission:

• Once the helper enters the code, a notification will appear on your screen asking if you’d like to allow them to control your PC or view your screen.

• Click Allow to proceed.

4. Work Together:

• The helper will now be able to either view or control your screen remotely to assist with your issue.

Important Notes:

• Both parties must have an active internet connection.

Quick Assist works only on Windows 10 or newer versions.
