Trick-or-treat math: candy disappears by tonight, but a router at its lowest price ever can stick around for years. The eero 6 is the more practical treat.
Halloween lands exactly four weeks before Black Friday, and today’s lineup has a useful mix: a router with a record-low price, earbuds that cost less than a fancy takeout lunch, and a thermostat bundle hovering near its historic floor.

Amazon eero 6 Mesh Wi-Fi Router (1-pack)
A solid Wi-Fi connection is one of those upgrades that’s easiest to appreciate when it stops being a problem. The single-unit eero 6 is designed for homes up to about 1,500 square feet, supports more than 75 devices, and works with internet plans up to 900 Mbps. Setup runs through the eero app, and adding compatible eero units later can expand coverage into a mesh network.
Honest take: This is a refreshingly simple way to improve home Wi-Fi, with a setup experience that’s friendlier than the average router’s maze of menus. The trade-off is that it’s Wi-Fi 6, not Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7, and the 900 Mbps plan ceiling makes it a less compelling choice for speed-hungry gigabit households. One unit is rated for roughly 1,500 square feet, so a larger home may need another unit. A bargain router is still a router: placement, walls, and interference can affect real-world coverage.
Price snapshot: The midday price is $54.99, sold by Amazon.com, with stock and pricing subject to change. Amazon shows a list price of $89.99; that’s about 39% off list. A BeastCompare Keepa check on October 30 also placed the deal about $30 below its three-month average of roughly $84.99 and described it as the lowest price ever. The listing showed a 4.4-star rating from 29,533 reviews. Check the eero 6 price on Amazon.
JBL Vibe Beam True Wireless Earbuds (Black)
For commutes, workouts, or the emergency spare pair that lives in a gym bag, the JBL Vibe Beam keeps things straightforward. It features JBL Deep Bass Sound, an in-ear design, and up to 32 hours of total battery life: up to eight hours from the earbuds, plus 24 more from the case. Speed charging can add listening time in a pinch, which is handy when the case gets forgotten until the last minute.
Honest take: At this price, these make sense as affordable everyday earbuds, a teen’s first pair, or backup audio that doesn’t need a velvet-lined charging drawer. They do not include active noise cancellation, and there’s no wireless charging at this price. The 32-hour figure is a rated maximum, not a guarantee for every listening routine, and expectations around long-term durability should stay realistic. They’ve also been a touch cheaper: BeastCompare notes a brief dip to about $28 in early October.
Price snapshot: The midday Amazon price is $29.95, or 40% off the $49.95 list price. The listing showed the black model in stock, sold by Amazon.com, with 10K+ bought in the past month and 41,317 customer ratings. Amazon displays a 4.2-star rating. BeastCompare’s October 30 price check put the deal about $19 below its three-month average, while noting that earlier October’s brief lower price means this isn’t necessarily an all-time low. Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) + Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen), Obsidian
A thermostat can be smart and still leave one room too warm while another stays chilly. This bundle pairs Google’s fourth-generation Nest Learning Thermostat with a second-generation Nest Temperature Sensor, allowing the system to read a room such as a bedroom or office instead of relying only on the hallway thermostat. It can learn a schedule, and the temperature can be adjusted from a phone.
Honest take: The included sensor is the reason this bundle stands out: room-specific readings are a useful feature, particularly as heating season gets underway. But this isn’t a magic fix for every cold corner, and the thermostat still needs to be compatible with the home’s HVAC wiring. Check the system and wiring requirements before ordering; if the installation raises questions, getting qualified help is wiser than turning the furnace into a weekend experiment.
Price snapshot: The midday price for the Obsidian bundle is $217.99, 22% off the $279.99 list price. It has a 4.4-star rating from 2,664 reviews, with 4K+ bought in the past month. Only four were listed as left in stock at the time of the check, so this deal may not stay available. BeastCompare’s October 30 Keepa check put $219.99 at the lowest point in the prior three months, about $27 below the three-month average and within a dollar of the $218.99 all-time low from July 2025. At today’s observed price, it’s effectively at record territory. Check the Nest thermostat bundle on Amazon.
Which upgrade makes the most sense?
For a meaningful connectivity upgrade, the eero 6 is the standout value, especially for households that want uncomplicated Wi-Fi and may expand coverage later. The JBL Vibe Beam is the low-cost pick for everyday listening, as long as active noise cancellation isn’t on the must-have list. The Nest bundle costs more, but makes the most sense when room-by-room temperature readings are a real comfort priority, and the wiring checks out.
